EXPLORE: Point No Point | Hansville
A historic lighthouse and a perfect beach await you at the northern tip of kitsap county.
Point no point is well worth the journey - walk among the driftwood as the wind whips the wavelets.
Hansville holds the honor…
…of being the northernmost coastal community on the Kitsap Peninsula. 16 miles from Poulsbo, it’s a lovely drive through tall coniferous forests and farmland and then the earth just ends in a long arching beach that looks out over the Puget Sound and not too distant Whidbey Island. If you show up hungry the good folks at Hansville Grocery and Provisions and the Hansgrille will serve you up with some casual homestyle cooking and cold beer or ice cream.
The lighthouse is the oldest
continuously operating lighthouse on the Puget Sound. It is petite yet distinguished on its little manicured lawn overlooking the Sound. The historic lighthouse keeper’s quarters are available to rent on a nightly basis as a vacation rental and give lucky guests an unparalleled panoramic view of Puget Sound. Even if you don’t stay the night, the lighthouse is a peaceful piece of history and an excellent photo backdrop.

The beach is why you came.
It stretches on and on. The sand, driftwood, and enormous views make this an ideal beach to daydream, play, walk hand in hand, build sandcastles, picnic, scamper, walk your dog or toddler, and so forth and so on. It may just be Kitsap’s best beach. The fact that it is at the Peninsula’s version of the end of the world is only fitting, you have to make the pilgrimage.
Adventure, romance, relaxation,
whatever your mood and agenda Point No Point ticks all the boxes. A perfect escape for a few hours for Kitsap locals and a welcome and well-earned discovery for visitors to the Peninsula. The beach is obviously better during our sunnier summer months but even in the driving wind and rain, the beauty remains…just colder.
